Cadent is proud to have been awarded Neurodiversity Smart - Committed status for the way we support our neurodiverse colleagues and customers. The recognition is from Lexxic, leaders in the field of neurodiversity inclusion.

Championed by the Thrive! employee community, the accreditation has supported Cadent to evaluate how neuro-inclusive we are across the whole business, celebrating excellence, and supporting us to create a roadmap for future development and improvement.
A place to bring your authentic self to work
Dan Forth, People Director, said: “I’m delighted that Cadent has received the Neurodiversity Smart accreditation from Lexxic.
"We’ve been working hard, in partnership with the Thrive! community, to make adjustments and enhancements to the way we support our colleagues with neurodiverse conditions.
"Cadent is a place where we can all bring our authentic selves to work and be recognised and supported as individuals to succeed.
"This is an exciting further step towards being an inclusive and welcoming place to work, attracting people with diverse backgrounds, which represent the communities we serve.”
A small working group, from business functions around Cadent and the Thrive! community, compiled a wealth of evidence for the self-assessment, which impressed the team at Lexxic.
The intensive assessment process looked at life at Cadent, auditing our internal processes, policies, adjustments offered to our people, the working environment, our procurement and suppliers, communications, leadership, culture, and much more.
Su Greatrex, Co-Chair of the Thrive! Community said: “Completing the self-assessment was really interesting, the questions were so helpful and made us look beyond the obvious. It was very thought-provoking and generated some great conversations."
Making a difference with our employee-led community
Su added: “There are areas where we can improve and areas where we unexpectedly found pockets of great focus. The really humbling part for us as individuals completing the assessment was discovering areas in the business where we have already made a difference with our employee community for disability, Thrive!.
“I’m very proud that we have already achieved Committed status and we’re beginning our journey to becoming a Neurodiversity Smart Champion employer. This is an exciting next step to becoming a neuro-inclusive place to work."
As part of the accreditation process, the experts at Lexxic will now work with us to share recommendations for how to enhance what we’re already doing, and build an action plan to generate creative solutions to areas where we can improve.
