Say hello to Connie! The virtual assistant helping you to get connected

Cadent, the UK’s largest gas network has launched its new virtual assistant, Connie. The chatbot will be available all year round to answer customer queries relating to gas connections.

Connections Director, Tom Notman, explains Connie’s role: “Connie is intended to give customers a helping hand, when they feel they need it. Helping them to answer a query, apply for a connection, or find the right documents setting out the technical details they are looking for. We know that the connections process can sometimes seem complex and we are working on simplifying things from start to finish but in the meantime, Connie is online and ready to help”

The introduction of Connie is one of the many steps Cadent are taking to meet the changing needs of our customers with Live chat, a mobile app, call back appointments all coming soon.

Customers can say hello to Connie by visiting our connections webpages.

Connie is looking for feedback

Connie is good, but she’s not yet perfect, she knows she needs help to understand more about the technicalities of connections in order to answer all of our customer’s queries, but she’s willing to learn and she needs to learn from you. You can help her improve by providing feedback, suggestions and answers to any questions you think she should know.

If you have any ideas or thoughts for further improvements to the connections pages or Connie please email to box.marketing@cadentgas.com

Cadent

Cadent is the UK’s largest gas distribution network with a 200-year legacy.  We are in a unique position to build on strong foundations whilst encouraging the curiosity to think differently and the courage to embrace change.  Day to day we continue to operate, maintain and innovate the UK’s largest gas network, transporting gas safely and protecting people in an emergency.   Our skilled engineers and specialists remain committed to the communities we serve, working day and night to ensure gas reaches 11 million homes from Cumbria to North London and the Welsh Borders to East Anglia, to keep your energy flowing.

Future of Gas: Here at Cadent we support the Government’s plans to reach Net Zero by 2050. That means we’re backing the introduction of hydrogen as a low carbon alternative to natural gas for the future. We know people love the controllability of gas and, with our network already in place, it makes sense to switch to the lower carbon alternative offered by hydrogen, which we believe can keep homes and businesses warm for generations to come.

Cadent manages the national gas emergency service free phone line on behalf of the gas industry - 0800 111 999*

Cadent Gas Ltd is owned by a consortium of global investors.
