For the second time in four months, the Cadent team in our North West Network has moved quick to support a local hospital as it expands and improves its essential facilities.
In April, in the early weeks of lockdown, our engineers moved a gas pipe that ran underneath land on which Tameside General Hospital
wanted to build a new treatment centre.
And we’ve recently returned to the same hospital, to do a very similar job, this time moving a gas service pipe that was sited near to the proposed location for a big oxygen storage tank.
Realising the urgent need, as the hospital needs these facilities to support its response to Covid-19, Cadent fast-tracked the jobs – and has earned public praise from the hospital.
On Twitter, T&G Estates and Facilities thanked our team for ‘pulling out all the stops’
And, on LinkedIn, the hospital trust’s Capital Projects Manager Michelle Waddicor offered "huge thanks for the quick turnaround
Mumtaz Patel, Head of Connections, North West, said: “When this job came in, we knew we had to turn it around as quickly as we could. I’m delighted the team rose to this challenge and it’s great to see such positive feedback from the customer.”
