Brent Cross – emergency work North Circular (A406) junction with Brent Cross flyover (A41)

Start: Thursday 27 October 2022
Finish: Tuesday 29 November 2022

Delay to work starting, due to changes to traffic management to ensure vehicles adhere to traffic management scheme.

What you need to know:

We are carrying our emergency work on the east bound lane of the A406, North Circular road at the junction with the Brent Cross flyover, just before the slip road to Hendon Way A41 (Brent Cross Flyover). The slip road will remain open.

Gas emergency engineers will be working extended hours, seven days a week to complete this work as quickly and safely as possible. Our engineers need to carry out this work in day light hours, however, some night work may be necessary.

The speed limit will be reduced to 20mph for the 200 metre section of the lane closure, to help protect our colleagues.

The existing lane closure on the west bound lane of the North Circular, opposite these works, will remain in place whilst we complete the gas emergency work.

Please leave extra time for your journey if you are travelling in this area. We expect these works to cause some disruption. We thank you for your patience.

We are have been working Transport for London (TfL) to co-ordinate the work, to avoid certain events in the area and keep the disruption to a minimal as much as possible. For example, we are starting our emergency works after Diwali and before the main Christmas shopping period. We have notified the local councils and large businesses in the area, in advance, so they are also able to advise their customers.

Reinstating the road after we have completed our work will take a few days and priority will be given to the eastbound side of the A406 first.
