Sheerwater Road & Woodham Lane, Woking

We’re upgrading the old metal gas pipes along Sheerwater Road and Woodham Lane, Woking from 28 July 2025 for 14 weeks.

These works will keep homes and businesses connected to a safe and reliable gas supply for cooking, heating and hot water, whilst reducing the likelihood of us having to come back to make repairs in the future.

How will the works affect your roads?

Temporary traffic lights will be in place for the duration of our works to maintain the traffic flow and safety of our engineers, along with a junction closure at the end of the project.

    • Sheerwater Road  - multi-way traffic lights from 28 July for five weeks
    • Woodham Lane - multi-way traffic lights from 2 September for ten weeks
    • Martyrs Lane will be closed at the junction with Woodham Lane from 6 October for four weeks

Please allow extra time for your journeys during this period and follow the diversions in place.

Will my gas supply be interrupted?

We may need to interrupt your gas supply for a short time on one or two days and gain access to your property. You’ll receive a further letter to confirm if your gas supply will be interrupted and our engineers will confirm the exact date/s of interruption with you 48 hours before.

Thank you in advance for your patience while we carry out these essential upgrades to ensure that you can continue to receive a safe and reliable gas supply.
