We have partnered with Convo to provide a free 24-hour remote interpreting service for British Sign Language (BSL) users when calling the National Gas Emergency number.

How to use the online BSL interpreting service

Log in to the Convo Now app or a web browser at uk.convo.io/UserWebApp and look for the National Gas Emergency Service in the directory.

Once your call is put through to an interpreter, tell them you want to call the National Gas Emergency number. The interpreter will then call us and interpret your conversation using a live video relay service.

    How to register with Convo:

First-time users will be asked to register once. This keeps your account secure and allows us to return your call if needed using your unique code.

To be able to receive callbacks from us, please provide us with your unique number, which is on the homepage of Convo Now. This unique code will allow us to give you a callback. See our Knowledge Base for support in receiving callbacks: info.convo.io/uk/help/how-to-receive-calls

Please check that you have: a webcam; PC or Mac; iOS or Android device; Microsoft Internet Explorer, Chrome (PC version only) or Safari; bandwidth of at least 256kbp/s upload and 384kbp/s download.

You can download the Convo Now UK app from the App Store or Google Play – just search for Convo.
