High Street, Ruislip

We are replacing the gas pipes at the junction of the High Street, Ickenham Road and Midcroft from 18 July to 16 August 2026. 

Our scheme involves the replacement of the iron gas pipes; which were originally installed in the last century, with tough new pipes that will last for decades and future proof the local network for new greener gases.     

Businesses will be open as usual; however, we do suggest that you plan a little extra time for your journeys.

Please note that bus stops will be suspended in this area for the duration of the works.

18 July – 2nd August

Two-way traffic lights on High Street from outside 61 High Street to outside 71 High Street.

18 July – 16 August

Eastbound closure on Ickenham Road – There will be no access to the High Street from Ickenham Road. 

Vehicles can still access Ickenham Road from the High Street, but not vice versa. Please follow diversion route via Kings End. Parking bays will be suspended.

18th July – 9th August

Westbound closure on Midcroft – there will be no access to the High Street from Ickenham Road. Vehicles can still access Midcroft from the High Street, but not vice versa.  Please follow diversion route via Brickwall Lane. Parking bays will be suspended.

Working hours: Monday – Sunday. We will be working seven days a week and the working hours will vary depending on engineering activity. We aim to keep the disruption to a minimum to complete this work as safely and quickly as possible.
