Cadent Gas will be upgrading the gas pipes along Terry’s Lane in Cookham from 15 September to 4 October 2026.
The project will see 250 metres of 80-100 year old metal pipes upgraded with sustainable plastic materials which will not only be more robust, but be capable of delivering gas and alternative green energy for the next century.
Having new pipes installed benefits local communities not only with better energy efficiency, but means that there is a vastly reduced likelihood of engineers having to visit in the short and medium-term future to administer repairs.
Traffic management systems in place will aim to minimise disruption, but residents should be aware of closures to Terry’s Lane at the junction of The Pound from 15 September to 4 October, while temporary traffic lights will be in place on The Pound. Access for residents of Terry’s Lane will be maintained, however, there will be no through traffic permitted. Updates will be available at cadentgas.com/cookham
