Essential work to repair a leak on a gas pipe under a busy Liverpool city centre road junction starts on Tuesday (30 May).

Leicestershire staff at Britain’s biggest gas network - Cadent - went wild at work, and made a roaring success of helping some of the world’s most endangered animals.

A complicated operation to locate and fix a leak on a metal gas pipe buried deep under a busy Lancashire road has been completed.

Cadent – formerly National Grid Gas Distribution –was selected as a finalist for ‘Innovation Product of the Year’ at the prestigious 2017 Gas Industry Awards, earlier today (9 May).

Essential work to ensure safe and reliable gas supplies is now underway in Fulham Road and scheduled for completion in September 2017
