Complex repairs: Motorists warned to allow extra time for journey between Norwich and Aylsham

Cadent engineers are  currently carrying out essential work to locate and repair a suspected gas escape in Hevingham, Norfolk.
 
Engineers are currently working to repair a gas escape beneath the A140 Cromer Road in Hevingham between Norwich and Aylsham. Repairing the gas escape is a complex task as welding work will be required and another pipe is located close by which will need to be diverted before this work can be done.
 
Traffic flows are being managed by multi direction temporary traffic lights at the junction of Cromer Road and The Street and motorists travelling along the route area advised to allow extra time for their journeys.
 
Cadent is sorry for any inconvenience people may experience and everything is being done to ensure the work is completed as soon as possible.
 
The work needs to be carried to out to help ensure local residents keep on enjoying safe and reliable gas supplies for cooking and heating.
