Our Services Beyond the Meter programme offers these customers a fourth option. A range of additional services that are designed to help customers get their households and appliances back on gas.
We’re excited that you’re considering joining us for our Hybrid Heating programme. We’ve put together some FAQs to answer your initial questions and help you feel confident as you get started.
Before the programme begins, you’ll be asked to sign an agreement confirming your participation. Once that’s completed, our installers will walk you through your new system, including how it works, how to get the best performance from it, key safety information, and how to get support.
We’ll also be gathering feedback before, during, and after the programme, so we’ll explain how this will be collected and what you can expect over the coming months. Our aim is to make sure you feel confident, informed, and supported from day one.
By joining, you’ll receive a fully funded installation of a modern, low-carbon hybrid heating system. You’ll also get a complimentary energy audit and Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) survey, plus expert advice on insulation and funding options. Smart meters will help monitor your energy use, and you can earn rewards for sharing your feedback.
We aim for a tidy and non-intrusive installation! The air source heat pump is installed outside your home, while the boiler and control unit can often go indoors where your old boiler was. Most hybrid systems require minimal changes, which means the process is quicker and less disruptive. Before any work begins, we’ll do a thorough heat loss calculation to ensure your system is perfectly sized for your property.
A hybrid heating system is designed to help you save on energy costs. The heat pump uses less energy to generate heat compared to a boiler alone, so you can look forward to potentially lower bills.
Your home will stay warm even when it’s freezing outside. The hybrid system automatically switches from the heat pump to your boiler in colder weather. This smart combination ensures reliable warmth all year-round.
To keep your system running smoothly and maintain your guarantee, we recommend annual servicing. As a benefit of participation, we’ll provide free appliance servicing for the duration of the programme.
We will supply and fit a brand new Worcester Bosch boiler as part of the installation to ensure your system runs efficiently. The boiler is part of the hybrid system.
You’re free to withdraw at any time, just please provide us with notice. Full Terms and Conditions of participation are offered to all programme members so you’ll know exactly what to expect.
