Cadent's launched its first Vulnerability Conference, welcoming over 170 people from charities and organisations, hosted by Steve Fraser, CEO and Tony Ballance, Chief Strategy & Regulation Officer at London's Law Society.
This first Vulnerability Conference, sought to explore the vital role of utilities in supporting vulnerable customers. In the room were industry leaders, policy makers and community organisations running large scale vulnerability programs who came together to discuss and explore best practice and innovative strategies to effectively support vulnerable customers.
And there was an exciting speaker line up of guest speakers from inside and outside of Cadent including: Akshay Kaul, Director General Infrastructure for Ofgem, Sir Robin Millar CBE, Chair of the Board of Trustees at Scope and Chris Webb, Labour MP for Blackpool South, Mark Belmega Director of Sustainability & Social Purpose and Ranjit Blythe, Cadent Foundation's Managing Director.
Helping to bring the conference to life were representatives of our 350 Centres for Warmth who enthralled the room with their personal stories of how the funding Cadent received from the VCMA fund is being used within the Centres for Warmth across our networks.
