Gas emergency work on Newtown Street in Luton has been extended for a further two weeks.
The road closure on Newtown Street has been extended along Newtown Street from Chase Street to include the junction with Albert Road and Newtown Road whilst we replace the gas pipe under the road.
Please be aware that traffic will not be able to exit Albert Road and Newtown Road onto Newtown Street. Diversions are in place.
We expect the work at the three-road junction will be completed next week.
