How to get help and advice with income maximisation

Across Cadent Foundation’s grants and projects, people living in vulnerable situations can access income maximisation initiatives and advice, in addition to energy saving advice.

What is income maximisation?

Income maximisation provides households living in fuel poverty access to all their possible benefits and financial support which can include sourcing grants, discounts, benefits and debt management. Income maximisation support is delivered by specially qualified energy advisors across our partnerships.

Our partners that offer income maximisation support include:

  • Citizens Advice: Our collaboration with Citizens Advice supports people across 17 locations. So far, financial gains have exceeded £15m,with an average income gain of £2.344 per client, through income from benefits, energy efficiency savings and written off debt, among other financial gains.
  • Housing Plus Group: Ourpartnership extension will continue the Group’s income maximisation support for people in Shropshire, Staffordshire and Telfordand Wrekin. So far, over £500,000 has been saved through energy advice, debtreduction and grants.

To date over 12,540 people have received income maximisation support through our funded partners, equating in millions of pounds of additional income to help pay their energy bills.
