Blackpool Coastal Housing (BCH) is a management company owned by Blackpool Council delivering a wide range of support services to both tenants and Blackpool residents.
We have worked in partnership with BCH since 2021, funding an affordable warmth project which focuses on supporting vulnerable and disabled owner occupiers on low incomes with heating measures. We also support households of all tenures to tackle high fuel costs, energy efficient measures and behaviours, and energy billing and debt issues.
Cadent funds a dedicated caseworker and the Foundation provide an emergency fund of £25,000 per year. This is utilised along with other funding to repair and replace heating, gas or electrical appliances.
We also educate vulnerable households on the dangers of carbon monoxide and look at maximising the household income to ensure they have a warm, decent, safe and secure home.
We provide an extensive assessment and then a tailored package of support according to the individual household needs including heating servicing, repairs, income maxmisation support and affordable warmth advice and assistance.
