Data Catalogue

The Data Catalogue lists Data Assets that have been prepared and are readily available for sharing with users. The Catalogue includes category of each Data Asset alongside their classification as either “Open” (data that can be shared freely) or “Shared” (data that can be shared with restrictions). For further information on the classification of the Data Assets please refer to Open Data Triage Process.

The Data Catalogue described in the table below can help you find our Data Assets. You can select the Data Asset to view further information and submit a Data Request. If the Catalogue does not include Data Asset that you are looking for, please submit a data request using the Submit Data Request button at the bottom of this page and provide as much detail as possible for example description of the data, the granularity, format, timeliness, use case, benefits to end consumers.

Please note, depending on the classification of the Data Asset you will need to adhere to the Open Government License or sign our Data Sharing Agreement. For further information, please refer to Licenses and Agreements.

Data Asset ID Data Asset Name Data Asset Category Description Format Classification
AGIO Above Ground Asset Open Infrastructure We have a number of gas assets that sit above ground. These are usually assets that reduce the pressure of gas so the relevant pressure of gas is sent to the right locations. The open dataset contains the location of such sites. fgdb Open
AGIS Above Ground Asset Shared Infrastructure We have a number of gas assets that sit above ground. These are usually assets that reduce the pressure of gas so the relevant pressure of gas is sent to the right locations. The shared dataset contains the location of such sites along with the pressure reduction that is carried out. fgdb Shared
DDLL Demand Data Low Level Operations Each area of our network has an estimated demand value. This is the estimated demand value of gas for each region of our gas network in order to make sure that we are meeting the demands of our customers. The demand changes over time. This dataset contains a detailed view of this information. xlsx Shared
DDS Demand Data Summary Operations Each area of our network has an estimated demand value. This is the estimated demand value of gas for each region of our gas network in order to make sure that we are meeting the demands of our customers. The demand changes over time. This dataset contains a high-level summary of this information. xlsx Open
AGP Above Ground Pipes Infrastructure We have pipes that sit above ground that may cross a land feature whether that be rivers, bridges or ravine. This dataset shows the locations of such pipes. fgdb Open
GLS Gas Leakage Summary Maintenance Over time gas escapes from pipes into the environment this is known as gas leakage. Processes such as replacing and updating pipes reduces the gas leakage within our network. This dataset contains a summary of the leakage by different asset categories for our network. csv Open
LDD Linepack Demand Operations Gas starts at one end of our network and ends at the gas meter of each of our customers. The Linepack dataset looks at the forecasted demand from when gas enters our network to when it is used. xlsx Open
LFZ Local Forecast Zones Operations Each of our forecasts are made at a local scale to improve accuracy but to also make sure that the correct decisions will be made. Each forecast zone is shown in this dataset. shp Open
CAN Network Areas Operations The gas infrastructure in the UK is broken down into separate networks. Each of these networks covers a region of the UK. This dataset displays each of the networks that Cadent operates in. fgdb Open
GPI Pipe Infrastructure Infrastructure The main assets that Cadent owns are gas pipes. These gas pipes move gas from where gas enters our network to where it exits our network. This dataset contains information on all gas assets within our network. fgdb Open
