Essential gas pipe upgrade to start in Lincoln

in your area

Lincolnshire gas network Cadent will be starting essential work next Tuesday (14 April) in Lincoln’s Canwick Road to maintain gas supplies to local homes and businesses.
Engineers will be installing a new gas pipe in Canwick Road between the junction with A15 South Park Avenue and the junction with Washborough Road. The work is due to take three weeks.
The new, larger gas pipe will ensure there is enough gas to meet local demand, both now and in the future.
To keep staff and road-users safe, during the work there will be a lane closure on the southbound side of Canwick Road, between South Park Avenue and Washborough Road. Motorists are advised to leave extra time for their journeys.
The safety and well-being of customers and colleagues is Cadent’s number one priority. Coronavirus precautions will be maintained throughout this work.
Engineers will ensure social distancing between themselves and pedestrians. This work will not require them to enter anyone’s homes.
