• Essential gas mains repairs now expected to continue until end of January 2017
• Water mains diversion must be done before work can be completed
• Project will help keep local community connected to safe and reliable gas supplies for cooking and heating
Work to repair gas mains at the junction of Burgh Road and Oakfield Road in Aylsham are now set to continue until the end of January 2017.
Initially it was hoped the work would be finished this month (December 2016) however the complexity of the job means it will take longer than first thought.
Before the job can be completed an existing water main must be diverted. National Grid is liaising with the local authority and water company in regards to getting this done.

“We’re sorry for any inconvenience the work is causing; we need to complete these repairs to help ensure local people keep on enjoying safe and reliable gas supplies.”
